"Sexuality is a biological drive to connect – a biological, hormonal, psychic, spiritual, physical, and emotional interweave that can create an expanded perception of reality. And that's why sex is so important.

"There is a lot of confusion about sexuality. Through thousands of years human beings have been driven by their sexuality – needing it, liking it, fearing it, not understanding it, getting in trouble because of it – not to mention getting babies. The whole structure of social order required a lot of control over sexuality, so that there would be a structure for mothers and babies to live and survive. There have been a lot of rules, and they varied from culture to culture, century to century, even decade to decade.

The turnaround – the evolutionary leap – is now––and it is about paying attention to what is healthy, right where you live. Start fresh. Start with new eyes. What makes your body healthy? What makes you alive? What makes you connect to other people in a tender, loving, healthy, good way? Anything that stops, hinders and violates that, is what is "off."

"Spirituality in sexuality is important. What that means is that sex is about tenderness, genuineness, excitement, and letting go into the physicality, which can be very, very physical, and leads to goodwill, not to mention the fantastic experience we know sex can be. It’s about energy; it’s about goodwill. It's not about making. It's about letting.

"If you have a partner that you can be sexual with, this is golden. Start letting the issues come up – the places where there is coldness, fear, deadness, feelings of loss – and be tender with it. Be gentle, reflective, playful, and kind. Be receptive and observe what is there.

"Sex is so potent! You get to be telepathic, to be in sync one body to another. It is profound in its bonding power. It’s an awesome thing."
